Scholarship Information

We make scholarships available for all of our programs. Scholarships - open to WIFT+ Toronto members and non-members alike - are made available through donations we receive to the Foundation for WIFT+ Toronto, specifically for the purposes of providing financial assistance as well as opportunities for advancement to members of equity-seeking communities.

To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must identify as a woman, female, trans, genderqueer or nonbinary media professional. Applicants are asked to self-identify by submitting a Letter of Intent. Applicants are also asked to clearly demonstrate why they feel they should be considered for a scholarship in their Letter of Intent (financial hardship, etc.)

Members of the Black, Indigenous or Persons of Colour community, visual minorities, members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, individuals with disabilities, and members of other equity-seeking communities are encouraged to apply.
