Voting By Proxy
WIFT+ Toronto FULL Members in good standing are eligible to vote on the following:
(i) Appointment of the 2026-2027 WIFT+ Toronto Board of Directors
(ii) Appointment of Auditors for 2026
Only WIFT+ Toronto Full Members are eligible to vote. You do not have to attend the AGM for your vote to count.
ALL Members are welcome to attend the AGM. If you're unsure of your membership status, please email Abby Brockhouse (she/her) at membership@wift.com.
All voting will be conducted via proxy in advance of the AGM. Votes will not be accepted after the deadline or live at the meeting.

2026–2027 WIFT+ Toronto Board Nomination Slate Details
Upon the recommendation of the Board Nominations Committee, the WIFT+ Toronto Board of Directors has approved Karla Bobadilla, Barrister & Solicitor, Karla B Media Law and Vanessa Case, Senior Media Executive/Media Consultant for the 2026–27 WIFT+ Toronto Board of Directors, upon final approval by WIFT+ Toronto Members at the 2026 Annual General Meeting.
Vanessa Case – Media Consultant / Senior Media Executive
Vanessa Case is a senior media executive with 25+ years building and scaling content strategies for global platforms including Paramount+, Pluto TV, VICE Media and Blue Ant Media. She is recognized for her ability to connect creative vision with operational execution across streaming, broadcast, and digital ecosystems. With proven expertise in streaming, multi-platform content acquisitions, original production and international operations, Vanessa has played a pivotal role in launching and growing both digital and linear brands. Her work has driven audience and subscriber growth across SVOD, AVOD, FAST and linear environments, while leading high-performing remote and distributed teams across North America and international markets.
Across her career, Vanessa has been at the centre of major organizational transformations, bringing a steady leadership presence, strong change-management instincts, and a proven ability to rebuild workflows, improve communication and foster healthy, collaborative team cultures. She is deeply committed to mentorship and creating collaborative environments where creative and strategic teams thrive.
Karla Bobadilla – Barrister & Solicitor, Karla B Media Law
Karla has over 25 years of business and legal experience in film, television and media financing, development, production and distribution. Prior to entering private practice, Karla worked at the CMPA providing policy, government relations, strategic planning, and advocacy/lobby work on behalf of its membership. She also worked as in-house legal counsel and Corporate Secretary at Astral Media’s Harold Greenberg Fund, and before that, at a production and media company.
Karla has always prioritized mentorship to uplift and support the industry, and believes in giving back to the not-for-profit cultural sector. She is a former Board Chair of Reel Asian where she oversaw all governance and corporate matters, and a former Board member of WorkInCulture, supporting the career and business needs of the cultural sector.
