In 1989, several of the founding members of WIFT-T started the Foundation for Toronto Women in Film and Video. While the name of the Foundation has since changed to the Foundation for Women in Film & Television-Toronto, the mandate of the foundation has not.
The Foundation exists to provide educational opportunities for women in screen-based media, to undertake research on the status of women in the industry, and to recognize the achievements of women in the industry.
The Foundation raises money for bursaries so that under-represented women, and women with limited financial means, can attend WIFT-T programs. As part of our strategic plan, we will also be launching a fundraising campaign to update our groundbreaking study, Frame Work: Employment in Canadian Screen-Based Media—A National Profile. The Foundation also allows us to hold networking events that support the industry as a whole.
By making a donation to the Foundation for Women in Film and Television-Toronto, you will support the many programs and services that are essential to our mission. Through the generous support of our donors, we are able to provide the hands-on, high quality programming, mentoring, networking, and industry events that recognize the talents and potential of women in this ever-changing industry. Your donation really does make a difference.

To donate by mail, complete the Donation Form and return to: Foundation for Women in Film & Television-Toronto, 110 Eglinton Ave E., Suite 601, ON M4P 2Y1
