2013 Crystal Awards — Save The Date!

Established in 1988, WIFT-T’s Crystal Awards promote and celebrate the outstanding achievements of Canadian women and men in screen-based media—film, television and digital media. To date, more than 120 industry leaders have received a Crystal Award.

Submit Nominations for the 2013 WIFT-T Crystal Awards

Nomination Deadline | Friday June 28, 5 PM EDT

WIFT-T Members are invited to nominate exceptional leaders, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the screen-based industry, for a 2013 Crystal Award. The 2013 Crystal Award Gala Luncheon award ceremony will take place Tuesday, December 3, 2013, 11 AM – 2 PM, at Arcadian Court in downtown Toronto.

Nominator Eligibility

Must be a WIFT-T Member in good standing to nominate an individual

Nominee Eligibility

Canadian Citizen, Landed Immigrant, or Permanent Resident
Minimum 10 years’ in the screen-based industry (film, television and/or digital media)
Current WIFT-T Board Members are not eligible for nomination
Does not need to be a WIFT-T Member

Nominations are being accepted in the following categories:

Outstanding Achievement In Business Award

Awarded to a woman who has made a major contribution to screen-based media—film, television and/or digital media—from the perspective of enterprise development through the consistent quality of her work throughout her career. Through personal example and leadership, she has inspired and set standards for industry colleagues working in the screen-based industry. Download the Nomination Form.

Creative Excellent Award

Awarded to a woman in recognition of the creative excellence and dynamic quality of her work in screen-based media—film, television and/or digital media. The recipient’s recent work has gained national and/or international attention in the previous year and has established a standard for those working in screen-based media. Mentorship Award

Awarded to a woman or man who has made an outstanding contribution to building women’s careers in screen-based media—film, television and/or digital media. The mentor supports the advancement of women, offers guidance and support and/or assists female entrepreneurs in growing their own media companies. Download the Nomination Form.

Please note that the Special Jury Award of Distinction is awarded periodically at the discretion of the jury.

Selection Procedure

Crystal Award winners are selected by an independent jury of past Crystal Award recipients. Please review this list before submitting your nomination. Previous winners can be nominated again; however, preference will be given to first-time nominees.
