NEW for 2025! The Universal Mentorship offers a unique opportunity for an emerging professional to explore the intricacies of sales and marketing within the theatrical division of Universal Pictures, distributor of the Academy Award Winning Oppenheimer, Wicked, and iconic franchises including Jurassic Park, Fast and the Furious and Despicable Me.
This mentorship provides exclusive access to the inner workings of a large studio focusing on how productions are developed, promoted and brought to life. The candidate will learn how release strategies and marketing campaigns are developed. This is a perfect opportunity for a producer looking to understand more about the theatrical landscape in Canada and North America.
The recipient will also receive an honorarium for their time spent in the mentorship.

ELIGIBILITY
- Canadian Citizen, Landed Immigrant, or Permanent Resident
- WIFT+ Toronto Full, Associate, Dual or Student/Senior member in-good-standing (non-members may apply but must become a member if offered the mentorship)
- Emerging screen-based media professional (film, TV, digital/interactive media) with recommended 5+ years of industry experience
- Able to participate in all mentorship activities
Applicants must identify as women (including cis and trans women), non-binary, or gender-diverse media professionals.
