Scholarship Information
WIFT+ Toronto is committed to fostering equity, inclusion, and access in the media and screen-based industries. Scholarships are available for all of our programs and are open to both WIFT+ Toronto members and non-members alike. These scholarships are made possible through donations we receive through the Foundation for WIFT+ Toronto. They are specifically intended to support individuals from equity-seeking communities by providing financial assistance and expanding access to professional development opportunities.
All applications are reviewed by the WIFT+ Toronto Programming Committee. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide feedback to unsuccessful candidates.
Eligibility:
Applicants must identify as women (including cis and trans women), non-binary, or gender-diverse media professionals. A Letter of Intent is required, in which applicants are asked to clearly outline their reasons for applying, including any financial need or other relevant circumstances and why they feel they should be considered for a scholarship.
We strongly encourage applications from individuals who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC); members of racialized communities; 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals; people with disabilities; and members of other equity-seeking communities.
