We are looking for someone who is good with numbers and Quickbooks online to maintain the financial records of both WIFT Toronto and the Foundation for WIFT Toronto.

Job Description

The bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining the financial records of both WIFT Toronto and the Foundation for WIFT Toronto by accurately recording the financial transactions of the company. This position may require going into the office from time to time, but would otherwise be remote.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance of Chart of Accounts
  • Process bi-weekly payroll using QuickBooks Online
  • Input Accounts Payable entries
  • Generate all cheque disbursements and e-transfer payments
  • Record payments and bank deposit
  • Complete government remittances for monthly employee source deductions, quarterly HST, and bi-annual charity HST rebate
  • Generate employee T4’s, ROE’s, and contractor T4A’s
  • Input annual operating and project budgets into QuickBooks
  • Record adjusting journal entries as instructed by Executive Director, Treasurer and Auditor
  • Complete monthly reconciliations and prepare month end packages for Executive Director & Treasurer
  • Monitor cash flow
  • Carry out ad-hoc requests as needed
  • Support Auditor, Treasurer and Executive Director with annual audit

 

Qualifications

●       A minimum of 3 years bookkeeping experience

●       Quickbooks Online experience

●       Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills

●       Excellent verbal and written communication skills

●       Ability to prioritize successfully and thrive in a fast-paced environment

●       Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
