The Deluxe Toronto Postproduction Mentorship is an intensive three-week postproduction immersive program for one female producer at Deluxe’s world-class facility in downtown Toronto.

The successful applicant will be adding essential postproduction knowledge to their arsenal. The hands-on training experience includes essential learnings about production equipment planning and requirements, dailies solutions, VFX, project management, postproduction picture and sound.

The recipient will get one-on-one time with:

  • Colourists
  • Editors
  • Re-recording Mixers
  • Foley Artists
  • Project Managers
  • Operations and Sales Executives

Cumulatively these mentors have worked on high-calibre films and TV series including: Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water, Atom Egoyan’s Remember, Showtime’s Penny Dreadful, History Channel’s Vikings, SyFy’s The Expanse and Dark Matter, DirectTV’s Rogue, CW’s Beauty and the Beast, Netflix & Roger’s Between and Bitten for Space.

When does the mentorship take place?

The 2018 mentorship will take place November 5-23.


  • Comprehensive three-week mentorship at Deluxe Toronto
  • $1,000 honorarium
  • WIFT-T programming pass (valued at $300)
  • On-stage recognition at the Crystal Awards Gala Luncheon (December 2018)

Who Can Apply:

  • Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Landed Immigrant
  • WIFT-T member in good standing (may join at time of application)
  • Emerging-level Canadian female producer with 2-5 years of industry experience
  • Able to participate in all mentorship activities
  • Must be able to complete a final report within two weeks of mentorship completion
