WIFT+ Toronto National Canadian Film Day – 35th Anniversary Screening of WHITE ROOM

Join fellow WIFT+ Toronto members and celebrate National Canadian Film Day (CanFilm Day) for a 35th-anniversary screening of Patricia Rozema's WHITE ROOM (1990) at the fantastic Redwood Theatre on April 16!

Patricia Rozema's sophomore follow up to I've Heard The Mermaids Singing follows Norman (Maurice Godin), an aimless writer who spends his nights spying on neighbours, finds his life turned upside down when he unwittingly witnesses the murder of the mysterious rock star Madelaine X (Kidder). Guilt-ridden that he did nothing to stop it, he devotes himself to finding the murderer and bringing them to justice at all costs. But his investigation quickly leads down a rabbit hole, where he finds the lines between reality and fantasy disappearing.

A Q&A with Patricia Rozema follows the screening.

Tickets are free for members and you are invited to bring a friend (and maybe a future member)!

There will be time after the event to mingle with WIFT+ Toronto members in the Redwood Theatre Lounge where drinks are available for purchase.
