Thank you for celebrating and elevating women working on- and off-screen with WIFT-T!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the annual WIFT-T Reception@TIFF event on Tuesday, September 15!

Thanks to you and your generous bids at the silent auction and the Porter Airlines draw, the Foundation for WIFT-T raised a record $8000. The funds will go directly towards WIFT-T programming and bursaries that help women connect, learn and advance.

We would like to extend a huge thank you once again to our hospitality partners who provided delicious catering and beverage; as well as to our 2015 Reception@TIFF partners, CBC, MAC, Super Channel, and Pinewood Studios Toronto.

Thank you for helping us celebrate the achievements of women in film and television during TIFF!

TIFF was a busy time for WIFT-T!

WIFT-T also announced a new partnership with BravoFACT, which will award a total of $70,000 for first and second place winners of a female-led short film pitch contest in 2016!

The pitch competition was announced during BravoFACT’s annual brunch celebrating the Toronto International Film Festival Short Cuts Programme. The BravoFACT WIFT-T pitch contest welcomes interested WIFT-T members to submit their short film pitch for a chance to win a $40,000 first place award, and a $30,000 second place award. The contest opens on October 1, 2015. For more info, please click here.
