Women in Film & Television – Toronto and BravoFACT are thrilled to announce the winners of the 2017 WIFT-T BravoFACT Pitch Competition.

Honourable Mention: Abuela

Awarded by the jury, Rebeca and Alicia received a pair of WIFT-T programming pass, valued at $500 each.

Abuela is about a young girl, Kathy, and her visiting Abuela who, despite the language barrier separating the two, find a way to communicate when they are left alone.

About the Program:

Women in Film and Television-Toronto is proud to partner with BravoFACT on the 2017 WIFT-T bravoFACT Pitch Competition – an exciting initiative exclusive to WIFT-T members. Teams of directors and producers submitted their short narrative film pitches for a chance to win $50,000 from BravoFACT. The five finalist teams pitched their projects on March 30th in front of a jury of industry experts and a live audience. The winners were announced at the end of the 2017 WIFT-t Showcase on March 30th.
