Humber School for Screenwriting
This 14-week, online program offers, interactive approach to screenwriting for feature film writers of all levels. Script material will be reviewed and critiqued on a one-to-one-basis by experienced faculty of story editors, all industry professionals. At the same time, students will be mentored and learn to refine their craft by participating in the online workshops and discussions led by an accomplished industry professional. The course is divided into two-week blocks with each block focusing on a specific aspect of screenwriting: concept, plot, structure, conflict, character development, tone, pacing and dialogue. Humber encourage all participants to take part in the course work but the emphasis will always be on student’s own writing.
The program is customized to address the strengths and shortcomings of individual scripts. Students will work on their script material at their own pace and be individually assessed on their ability to handle the major elements of screenwriting.
