The Directors' Weekend

December 8-9, 2007

Women in Film and Television - Toronto, in partnership with DGC Ontario, present The Directors' Weekend. Join film professionals for an intensive two-day workshop on the essentials of directing. Through a synthesis of instruction, workshop, and case study, participants will gain an understanding of the styles, structures, and team work necessary in filmmaking. This program will also allow for exchange between participants, as a forum to discuss current projects and career goals. Participants will come away with a comprehensive overview of directing techniques, styles and best-case practices.

Location: Metro Hall, 55 John St. (south of King)
Dates: Saturday, December 8 & Sunday, December 9, 2007
Registration: 8:30 am
Time: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
Fee (for 2-part course): $75 incl. GST for DGC Ontario members

Note: This program will be limited to 20 participants. Applicants must be a DGC Ontario member or be partway through their application process. Participants are not limited to Directors.

* Cancellation of registration with more than three business days notice is subject to a $25.00 administration fee; for cancellation with less than three business days notice, no refund will be given. WIFT-T reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or substitute guest instructors as necessary. Should the workshop be cancelled, WIFT-T will issue a full refund or credit the fee to another WIFT-T Professional Development program.
