Bio: Kerry Ball, CBC Mentorship Winner

Kerry Ball is an emerging entertainment professional and the winner of the CBC Business of Broadcasting Mentorship.

Kerry is currently an associate at Meridian Artists, a film and television literary agency that represents a select roster of talented Canadian writers and directors. In this position, Kerry works closely with the agents and roster to facilitate employment opportunities and project sales in both Canada and the United States.

Prior to Meridian, Kerry worked at Achilles Media as a content producer for television production and a programmer of events, such as the Banff World Media Festival, Just Comedy at Just For Laughs in Montreal, and History Makers in New York City. She is a graduate of Ryerson University’s Honours BA program in Radio and Television Arts, with a minor in English.

About the Mentorship

Now in its sixth year, the CBC Business of Broadcasting Mentorship is a national competitive program that provides an emerging Canadian female producer with a one-week experience at CBC Television in downtown Toronto. Kerry will be on-site at the Canadian Broadcasting Centre in early 2013 to learn about the production and broadcast components of scripted content for multiple platforms. She will also receive the invaluable opportunity to develop mentorship relationships with CBC scripted content staff.
