WIFT-T announces 2012 Crystal Award Winners
WIFT-T is pleased to announce the winners of the 25th Anniversary Crystal Awards, to be presented at a gala luncheon on Tuesday December 4, 2012, at Arcadian Court in downtown Toronto.
Established in 1988, WIFT-T’s Crystal Awards celebrate and promote the outstanding achievements of Canadian women and men in screen-based media (film, television and digital media).
“The winners selected for our 25th anniversary year are truly exceptional” says Heather Webb, WIFT-T Executive Director. “Their collective work spans broadcasting, television production, sports and live events, and private consulting, and for their contributions to Canadian media these trailblazers are most deserving of a WIFT-T Crystal Award. It is an honour to recognize and congratulate them.”

MENTORSHIP AWARD

OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

SPECIAL JURY AWARD OF DISTINCTION
Mary Ellen Carlyle, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Dome Productions

Crystal Award winners are nominated annually by WIFT-T members and selected by an independent jury of past award recipients. The 2012 selection jury consisted of: Julie Bristow, Executive Director of Studio and Unscripted Content, CBC; Christine Shipton, Vice President of Original Content, Shaw Media; and Jane Tattersall, President of Tattersall Sound & Picture.
To date, more than 100 industry leaders have received a Crystal Award.
