Interactive Project Management

The project management process for film and television projects differs greatly from the project management process for IDM projects. With funding requirements now including integration as a major component, what are the best practices for this new mode of workflow? This session explores strategies for integrating workflows and building successful project teams in order to streamline productivity and avoid costly production trial and error in the design and development of successful multi-platform projects.

Business Model Canvas Workshop

This session provides project-specific feedback on assessing investment strategies. The sustainable business modeling workshop is designed to help transmedia entrepreneurs understand the monetization of convergence and how it affects business models for film, television and digital media businesses. The session will introduce proven tools designed to help transmedia entrepreneurs make the necessary decisions required to build and articulate a viable model for a digital media business.

Funding Digital Projects – CMF Master Class

The CMF Master Class explores funding opportunities for transmedia projects and how performance measurement is evolving as a tool for media companies working with multiple platforms. CMF representatives will be on hand to answer questions about best practices and application evaluation processes. Presentation stations will be available for guests to experience some of the innovative projects supported by the CMF. Technical Production
Friday November 2 | 9:30am – 5:30pm
Centre for Social Innovation
This session explores the differences in technical planning required to successfully implement a transmedia project. We will explore different production formats and platforms and how this affects your scheduling and budgeting. The session will use case studies to explore how to avoid costly trial and error in technical production, how to enhance possibilities for user engagement, and how multiple platforms are changing the way we produce and consume content.

Marketing and Digital Distribution

Centre for Social Innovation
This session explores the commissioning process for interactive projects, both as interactive extensions and as creative standalones. Participants will critically assess their projects in light of digital distribution opportunities, and learn how to integrate marketing strategies to mobilize audiences and content consumers.
