Short Film Showcase Early-bird Deadline

WIFT-T is now accepting submissions from all genres for the 2012 Short Film Showcase.

Taking place each spring in downtown Toronto, the Short Film Showcase is WIFT-T’s opportunity to celebrate and promote the talent and creativity of our members. All active WIFT-T members (male and female) are invited to submit recent work for consideration.

Please note: The WIFT-T Short Film Showcase is not an official festival. A film screening through the Showcase cannot be considered a “premiere” and will not affect a film’s eligibility for premiere at any official festival.

The Showcase is attended by industry movers and shakers—including buyers and distributors—as well as our partners, members, featured filmmakers and their guests. A catered networking reception follows the screening and includes the presentation of the Audience Choice Award.

Submission Deadlines & Fees

Monday January 30, 2012 at 5PM EST | Early Bird Deadline
Submissions must be accompanied by a $15 (+ HST) administration fee.

Monday February 13, 2012 at 5PM EST | Final Deadline
Submissions must be accompanied by a $25 (+ HST) administration fee.

Eligibility

Active WIFT-T member (may join at time of application)
Films must not exceed 20mins in length (including credits)
Films must have been completed after January 1, 2010
Non-English films with dialogue/commentary must be subtitled or dubbed
Films must be fully complete – ‘works in progress’ are not eligible
Entry fees must be submitted with each submission. If you are submitting multiple entries, please ensure they are on separate DVDs
