Lisa Baylin

VP Content and Production, iThentic, and Producer, Guidestones
Prior to her current role, Lisa was Program Manager at three private funds supporting the Canadian television and new media industries: the Bell Broadcast and New Media Fund, the Independent Production Fund, and the COGECO Program Development Fund. Before joining the Funds in 2007, Lisa was the Associate Conference Producer for the Banff World Television Festival. A graduate of Queen’s University, Lisa began her career as an actor and theatre director in Toronto and New York before moving into casting in 2004, where she participated in casting such feature films as Get Rich or Die Tryin’, The Sentinel, Take the Lead, 16 Blocks, Cheaper by the Dozen 2, and Four Brothers. Lisa has also produced and directed short films. Her most recent film, Bagged, is currently airing on CBC as part of Canadian Reflections.

Meredith Conacher

Business Affairs, Shaftesbury Films Inc (Smokebomb Project Manager)
Meredith Conacher is the Business Affairs Coordinator for Shaftesbury Films, one of Canada’s leading creators, producers and distributors of original content for multiple platforms. In this role, Meredith manages the funding and business execution throughout every stage of Shaftesbury’s extensive slate of productions, including Good Dog (HBO Canada), Murdoch Mysteries (Citytv, UKTV) and The Listener (CTV, Fox International Channels). Prior to her current role, Meredith was Project Manager for Shaftesbury’s award-winning digital media division, Smokebomb Entertainment, where she oversaw the preparation and production of original online series and companion web experiences for Shaftesbury’s properties.

Mark Hand

Cross-Media Content Specialist
Mark Hand provides creative consulting, writing and producing services to the entertainment industry, with a focus on multi-platform television properties. An accomplished writer and producer, Mark helps develop new cross-media projects, and has also helped some of Canada’s top producers expand their TV projects into new media, including Epitome Pictures, Breakthrough Films & Television, Blueprint, Galafilm, Brightlight Pictures, Halifax Film, and marblemedia. He has written dozens of successful funding proposals to the Bell Fund and Telefilm, and developed the Gemini Award-winning website for Degrassi: The Next Generation, one of the first social networking sites in the world.

Renée Robinson (Moderator)

Programming & Business Affairs Manager, Women in Film & Television Toronto 
Renée is a multilingual cultural management professional with international experience in policy, programming, project management and media production. At WIFT-T, Renée is responsible for the design and implementation of the organization’s annual slate of core programming, including professional development, training workshops, seminars, panels, networking events and special projectsincluding the International Women in Digital Media Summit (iWDMS), taking place in Stratford, Ontario in October 2011.
