What is the iWDMS?
Produced by Women in Film & Television – Toronto, the International Women in Digital Media Summit was a three-day conference providing business networking and knowledge leadership from national and international digital media experts. The Summit took place October 23-25, 2011, in Stratford, Ontario.
International Women in Digital Media Speaker Series | 2012
The iWDMS will continue throughout 2012 with a series of luncheons featuring high profile women working in digital media industries as speakers. A luncheon will take place every three months in downtown Toronto and will conclude with a networking reception.

From gaming, to social media, to cross-platform and transmedia storytelling, the digital media landscape is evolving to include the female demographic in key roles as consumers, producers and decision-makers. Through this two-part initiative, the iWDMS aims to explore the expanding roles and impact of women within digital media businesses.
Opening Keynote: Arianna Huffington
The President and Editor-in-Chief of the AOL Huffington Post Media Group delivered a keynote presentation on Day 2 of the Summit. Additional keynote speakers included Dr. Sara Diamond, President of OCAD University, and Tom Perlmutter, Chairperson and Film Commissioner at the National Film Board of Canada.
