The William F. White Production Manager Mentorship provides one emerging Canadian female production manager with hands-on training. The successful applicant joins William F. White as an intern to learn about production equipment for digital projects, television and film equipment planning, resource management, and budget planning. She spends a total of ten days on site during late April and early May.

The winner also receives access to two modules of the WIFT-T Business Management for Media Professionals Program, Production Management and Production Accounting. In addition, she is partnered with experienced female production managers for three one-hour mentorship sessions.

Monica Côté is the 2012 Winner!

In the last year, Monica Côté has worked as a production manager on the transmedia film Call of Duty: Project Kingfish—now approaching 2.5 million hits on YouTube—and Shelter, a short film for Evil Genius Productions. She also produced her own short film, Chimera. Côté is thrilled to be the recipient of the 2012 William F. White Production Manager Mentorship. She will receive direct mentorship sessions from established production managers Anna Beben (“Transporter”“Dan For Mayor”) and Kellyann Murphy (“Party Mamas”“My House, Your Money”). Read more.

Eligibility

  • A Canadian Citizen or Landed Immigrant or Permanent Resident
  • WIFT-T member in good standing (may join at time of application)
  • An emerging Canadian production manager with no more than three years of experience
  • Able to participate in all mentorship activities
  • Able to complete a final report within two weeks of mentorship completion
