WIFT-T ROCKS! I am a cinematographer, and even though WIFT-T membership has a larger director/producer base, I have found equal support. In 2009 WIFT-T gave me the opportunity to moderate a panel discussion on the Female Cinematographer and it was a hit! They helped me find my voice and for this I am extremely grateful. The networking events WIFT-T provides are non-stop—and a CLASS ACT at that! WIFT-T knows their game and are doing everything they can to provide women in film and television with the resources to learn, achieve and prosper. Why would you not join us?! – Sarah Moffat, Cinematographer

“WIFT-T has been a tremendous support group that comes much needed when support from peers is essential. – Jessica Jennings, Producer

“Thank you WIFT-T for your continued support and assistance, and to the amazingly talented and dedicated staff members that have been nothing short of phenomenal with what you are able to produce and make accessible for film and broadcast professionals at every level. – Bobie Taffe, Producer

“The WIFT-T staff are extremely responsive to members’ needs. WIFT-T helps me meet my goals and elevate myself to a new level. – Kirk Johnson, Producer

“I joined WIFT one year ago, and at my first networking breakfast, the generosity of its members blew me away. Diane Williamson (WIFT board member, 2010) offered me a P.A. job based on faith alone! It was her encouragement that kept me going. Eventually, it would lead me to the CFTPA’s National Mentorship Program and to Prime Time, where I was amazed at how many friendly faces I knew from WIFT’s excellent networking events and panels. It was there that I got to pitch to a producer for the first time ever, and received a great response to my feature project. WIFT builds a stronger community of artists and filmmakers, and for that, I am ever grateful.”Stephanie Law

“As a student, my WIFT-T membership has been great in connecting me with Toronto’s diverse and fantastic film and television industry. The many networking events that WIFT-Toronto holds on a regular basis have given me the opportunity to make contacts and get involved in many amazing industry-related experiences. These networking events have made my attempts at transitioning from a student to a young professional much less intimidating and have made me far more optimistic in my future.” – Faith Cameletti

Staying a part of Toronto’s WIFT maintains a feeling of belonging and encourages continued effort.” – Audrey Down, Screenwriter
