Back to Digital MashUp: Broadcaster meets Digital Producer

Richard Kanee oversees all aspects of digital content strategy and business development across CTV television and radio properties. His focus is on digital content acquisition and distribution, mobile and web platform development, emerging content formats and digital marketing.

Richard has been a leader in developing the Canadian mobile landscape. His accomplishments include the launch of Canada’s largest cross-carrier ringtone store, the MuchMusic branded mobile phone, and PunchMuch, a text-messaging powered music video channel.

Richard has a BFA in Film from York University and is a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre’s Media Lab. He is a frequent speaker and lecturer on convergent media and the impact of digital media on the broadcast industry.
