On a cold fall evening, Leila is left alone to tend the family convenience store. A series of strange clients keep her in a constant state of apprehension. Language and cultural barriers also contribute to the making of a nerve-racking ending.

For the past fifteen years, Nadine Valcin has written, directed, and produced documentaries and television programs. She directed the award-winning documentary Black, Bold and Beautiful (1999) as well as Une école sans frontiérs (A School without Borders, 2005). She is now turning her interest to fiction. In 2008, she was awarded one of the National Screen Institute’s drama prizes for her short bilingual script In Between/Entre Deux, and she is currently developing two feature film scripts with the financial assistance of Telefilm Canada. Nadine was born in Montreal and is now based in Toronto. She holds a professional decree in architecture from McGill University and studied film production at York University.
