As Senior Vice President of Drama & Factual Content at Shaw Media, Christine Shipton develops and commissions dramatic and factual programming for non-lifestyle Shaw specialty channels, including Showcase, the History Channel, and Mystery TV, as well as the priority programming slate for Global Television.

Christine joined (then) Canwest in May 2005 and helped rebuild the original Canadian production slate for Canwest Broadcasting. 

Prior to Shaw Media, she held a variety of senior positions in both broadcast and production organizations, including: Head of Programming for W Network, VP of Canadian Television for Landscape Entertainment Canada, EVP of Canadian Drama for Alliance Atlantis Television and Alliance Communications, and Production Executive and Casting Director for CBC Television.

Christine was responsible for developing, overseeing, and managing such notable Canadian programming as: Da Kink in My Hair, Deal or No Deal Canada, Falcon Beach, Due South, North of 60, Cold Squad, Global Currents, Street Legal, Straight Up Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy and The Diana Kilmury Story.
