Feature Film Writing Program Part 1: Discover Your Story

Program Overview |  Part 2: Define Your Voice

Wednesdays May 16, May 23, June 6,  June 13, 2012, 6:00pm – 9:00pm

In this four-session introductory series, emerging writers learn the unique nature of telling stories for the screen. Each session examines the various stages of screenwriting and the fundamentals of the craft using examples and hands-on exercises. Topics include concept, character, conflict, dialogue, theme, and the development stages of a screenplay.

Participants are encouraged to develop an original concept for a feature film and take that concept to the outline or treatment stage. A one-month intermission between Part 1 and Part 2 allows writers to complete an outline or treatment to workshop in the next section. Part 1 may also be taken individually.
