The CBC Business of Broadcasting Mentorship is a national competitive mentorship that gives one emerging Canadian female drama producer/director the opportunity to receive creative and business support from CBC Television. The winner will learn about production and broadcast components of short film and dramatic television production.
The recipient also receives the opportunity to establish business and mentoring relationships with CBC drama staff, in addition to a WIFT-T programming pass valued at $1,200. The CBC Business of Broadcasting Mentorship is presented at the Crystal Awards Gala Luncheon.
Eligibility
- Canadian citizen, landed immigrant, or permanent resident
- WIFT-T member (may join at time of application)
- May have up to two hours of produced screen credits, although screen credits are not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Available to attend programming presented by WIFT-T
- Available to attend award presentation ceremony at the 2009 Crystal Awards on November 30, 2009
- Able to re-locate to Toronto during time period of the mentorship at own expense
- Must complete a Final Report
Application Process
Please note complete guidelines and application forms for the 2010 CBC Business of Broadcasting Mentorship will be available mid-summer 2010.
Completed application packages must be submitted by 5 PM on September 27, 2010. Applications are reviewed by a selection committee of industry representatives.
Application Fee | A $50 administration fee, paid by credit card or cheque, will be required to process your application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
