2009 Imarion Post Production Mentorship | Mentorship Recipient
WIFT-T is pleased to announce Summer Preney as the recipient of the 2009 Imarion Post Production Mentorship.
“We’re really privileged to work with Imarion on this award as post-production is such a big part of any successful documentary,” said Sadia Zaman, Executive Director of WIFT-T. “This award is also part of our ongoing commitment to provide high quality professional development for the screen-based community. We look forward to working with Summer.”
“We are very proud to sponsor the first Imarion Post Production Mentorship in partnership with WIFT-T,” said Alex Olegnowicz, President of Imarion. “It is in challenging times, when talented filmmakers require the most assistance from within the industry to bring important works to the screen. That is one of the reasons we instituted this award, to make sure projects like Sounds Like A Revolution get done. We are thrilled to welcome Summer Preney and support her with all her post production needs for this outstanding production.”
Summer Preney
A director, producer and the creator of Deltatime Productions, Summer Preney gained a foothold in film as a cinematographer, researcher and producer. Her unconventional style helped secure her place as Canada’s “it girl” for fresh, edgy pop culture as she went on to produce several short documentaries for international broadcast. As the driving force behind Deltatime Productions, she heads up a team of creative talent whose passion for politics and music helped create the feature documentary, Sounds Like a Revolution.
